About - New notes on the current chapter of my life
In July, I attended the National Convention of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. It was a wonderful week with friends, despite being wheelchair-bound and having a very busy for our Communications Committee.
I had the honor of receiving two things that were unexpected:
In my almost 8 years in the fraternity, I've learned that earning formal recognition in a service and leadership organization that prides itself on developing high achievers in the band world is never a given - and I am truly thankful to even be considered for things like awards let alone actually receiving them. Thank you to all the people around me who support me and make me better.
&
Working
I have experience working in food service, administration, retail, and research in addition to my volunteer leadership roles.
See my LinkedIn for more details or contact me for a copy of my resume.
&
Volunteering
I volunteer locally, nationally, and internationally.

Making
I've been making music, art, and crafts since I was little. Here are a few of my most recent designs.

My Logo
sticker design "ITB"
self-portrait
This logo incorporates my love of learning languages by using the "R" handshape from ASL, which is used in my BSL sign name given to me during my learning.
The ampersand is another nod to my love of Linguistics and how language and language use evolves over time.
Designed using Canva resources.
Inspired by the phrase "In the Bond," this sticker incorporates a variety of instruments and equipment used in marching bands in the United States. The phrase is often used by members of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, two honorary organizations dedicated to service in collegiate bands, to reference their bond of service and love for music.
Designed using Canva resources. Flag drawn, by me, digitally in Adobe Fresco.
This is a recent digital self-portrait., done to celebrate the success of my recent at-home hair color change.
Drawn in Adobe Fresco.

Thinking
I have a Master of Science in Evolution of Language and Cognition, a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, and an undergraduate Certificate in West European Studies. Since I studied in the UK and the US, and specific coursework and topics can be different, I'll eventually provide some additional details about my education here.
I love learning and would like to pursue additional education in the future, but I do not have a timeline in mind for doing so.
